Brianne Jenner and PWHL Ottawa practices in front of a large crowd Monday as part of the team's FanFest. Wednesday, the club is expecting another crowd of more than 8000 fans at TD Place Arena to cheer them on in what will be the most important game of their PWHL season.
"I think it's pretty cool that that many people are interested in coming out to watch an open practice," Jenner said of the Ottawa's FanFest.
Fan Fest was another opportunity for Ottawa's rabid fan base to get to know their team. Ottawa will be counting on that fan base as an x-factor facing PWHL Boston. The winner of Wednesday's game will find themself in a playoff spot, while the loser will be on the outside looking in.
"At this point, we like pressure...those are the games you want to be in," said Jenner.
Through 20 games, Ottawa has 30 points, while Boston has played 21 games and has 28 points.
