The Boston Pride made a major blueline acquisition in signing Brooke Hobson to a one-year contract. Hobston, 24, spent two seasons captaining Northeastern University and spent last season playing for MoDo in the SDHL.

“I am beyond excited to get the season started in an amazing city that I call my second home with the Boston Pride,” said Hobson in a Pride press release. “I am looking forward to playing with such amazing players, learning from elite coaches, and playing in front of the incredibly supportive Boston Pride fans. Let’s bring the Isobel Cup back to Boston."

The Saskatchewan product was a multi-season Hockey East All-Star, and last season collected 20 points in 32 games with MoDo where she was a nominee for the SDHL's Defender of the Year.

"Brooke has been an elite defender at both the college and professional levels," said Pride head coach Paul Mara. "We know she will excel immediately on our team in all aspects of the game. She knows the city of Boston well, and we are excited to bring her skills and leadership back to Boston."

Hobson has also been a member of Hockey Canada's national profram playing for Canada's U-18 national team.
