The Buffalo Beauts have re-signed five-foot-eleven forward Maggie Knott, who joined the Beauts midway through last season. Knott signed a one-year contract with the Beauts.

Knott recorded two assists in nine games for the Beauts after signing. Following her NCAA career she spent one season with the PWHPA.

"I wanted to re-sign with the Beauts because I think this program has a bright future,” said Knott in a team news release. “The culture that both the players and the staff bring to the rink each day really makes you want to be a part of it.”

Proficient in the face off circle, Knott is an alumni of Mercyhurst where she captained the Lakers in her senior season.

"With Maggie’s build and her skill set, she has an uncanny ability to keep the puck where the opposition just can’t quite reach it – she steals it and holds onto it so readily,” said Beauts general manager Nate Oliver.

“Maggie and I joked last season because she told me college her program never let her say she was taller than 5-foot-11, and there is no way in hell that she is under 6-foot. We used her sparingly last season, and I know Maggie fully believes – and I believe as well – that in a larger role this upcoming season she will do more damage. She is so good with her puck control.”

The Buffalo Beauts now have seven players under contract including newcomers Tatum Amy, Amalie Andersen and Ally Johnson.
