Boston product Caitrin Lonegran is headed home after the rookie standout from last season and longtime NCAA star signed with the PHF's Boston Pride.

Joining an already potent offensive group, Caitrin Lonegran has signed with the Boston Pride. Lonegran signed a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Lonegran is a Roslindale, Massachussettes product and played three seasons with Boston College before moving to Clarkson to close out her NCAA career. Last season, Lonegran finished third on the Connecticut Whale in scoring with 10 goals and 18 points in 23 games.

“As I was born and raised in Boston, it is an honor to play for my hometown,” said Lonergan in a Pride press release.

“The PHF is making a commitment to grow women’s professional hockey, and with players in the NCAA being given a chance to continue their careers, this is an unbelievable chance to grow the game for the future. Thank you to the Boston Pride for this opportunity, and I am so excited to get started and look forward to competing for the Isobel Cup.”

Prior to joining Boston College, Lonegran represented USA twice at the U-18 World Championships winning gold and silver. In the NCAA, she was a two-time Patty Kazmaier finalist totalling 214 points in 166 career NCAA games.

According to Boston Pride general manager Maddie Rigsby, the Pride are excited to add another talented forward to their group.

"We are very eager to welcome Caitrin to the Pride for this upcoming season. We believe her style of play will fit right into the team that we have been building this off-season." said Rigsby. "We are looking forward to seeing Caitrin bring her experience and her high level of competitiveness to the Boston Pride and make a big impact with her pure offensive talent."

Lonegren joins a forward group in Boston that already includes Loren Gabel, Jillian Dempsey, Alina Muller, Chloe Aurard, Sophie Shirley, Gabrielle David, and Taylor Wenczkowski, along with the rumored addition of Brittany Howard.
