
In a PWHL fan vote among THN-W readers, Vancouver came out on top of cities fans thought would be the best Canadian city to get a new PWHL franchise.

Canadian PWHL fans responded in force to our first Fan Poll, with THN-W readers voting Vancouver as the Canadian market they'd most like to see an expansion PWHL team located.
31.5% of respondents chose the West coast city as their preferred location for a new PWHL franchise.
Edmonton followed with 21.76% and Quebec City with 13.65%. No other Canadian city broke the 10% barrier, although Calgary came close.

Vancouver has a long standing women's hockey history. In the 1920s the Vancouver Amazons, owned by Frank Patrick, were considered one of the top teams of the era.
