“I have really enjoyed my first season with Toronto and I'm glad I got a chance to continue my pro career here,” said Vanišová in a Toronto press release.
Vanišová scored the most important goal in Toronto Six history this postseason notching the game-winning goal in overtime to capture Toronto's first Isobel Cup title. The 27-year-old also set a career high with 14 points in 20 games.
Vanišová won two Isobel Cup titles with the Boston Pride prior to joining the Six. The Maine graduate has also played in the SDHL.
“Tereza Vanišová was the star of last year at the end, scoring the game-winning goal in the Isobel Cup Final. In my opinion, I still don’t think there is anyone faster than Vanišová in this league,” said Angela James, general manager of the Toronto Six. “Last year was really only just a touch of what I think Tereza can bring to this team and to this league, and I’m looking forward to seeing what she does this year with the Toronto Six.”
Toronto now has ten players under contract for next season.
