PWHL Ottawa landed their second member of Czechia's national team in the same day, signing Katerina Mrazova to a one-year contract.

“Katerina is a hard working, determined center who competes for every puck. She has a 200-foot game and is a player every winning team needs,” said general manager Mike Hirshfeld.

Mrazova, 31, won back-to-back bronze medals at the World Championships with Team Czechia, recording four points in seven games this year for her nation.

After three seasons in Europe, which included MVP honors in the SDHL, Mrazova returned to North America last season with the PHF's Connecticut Whale scoring 17 points in 19 games. She's excited to join Ottawa, a team coached by Team Czechia head coach Carla MacLeod.

“I am so excited to have signed with the Ottawa team," said Mrazova. "I will be living in Canada for the first time and really looking forward to it, especially in a city like Ottawa. Can’t wait to meet everyone and start the season.”

Waiting for PWHL training camps to begin, Mrazova has been playing in Sweden's NDHL scoring 35 points in seven games with Farjestad this year.

Mrazova is an alumni of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and also won a CWHL championship as a member of the Boston Blades.
