Second overall pick Danielle Serdachny is heading to PWHL Seattle.
The Alberta product is the team's first signing after spending her rookie season with the Ottawa Charge. This season Serdachny scored eight points in 30 games with Ottawa, but spent most of the season as a depth player.
She'll look to breakout next season in a more prominent role with Seattle.
With Canada, Serdachny has scored in the past two gold medal games at the IIHF World Championships, including the golden goal in overtime in 2024.
At the NCAA level, the 5-foot-9 Serdachny scored 22 goals and 61 points (1.53 points per game) in 40 games in her final season with Colgate University and was named an NCAA Second Team All-American and Patty Kazmaier Award finalist for her efforts.
More to come.
