PWHL Detroit continued to add to their depth signing French Olympian Alice Philbert to their crease and forward Olivia Wallin.
PWHL Detroit signed netminder Alice Philbert to a two-year PWHL contract, and forward Olivia Wallin to a one year deal.
Philbert played in Italy during the 2025-26 season for EV Bozen Eagles in the EWHL. She posted a .936 save percentage, and has spent multiple seasons playing men's hockey in France. She was playing in France to earn her national team eligibility ahead of the World Championships and 2026 Olympic Games.
The 29-year-old Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, product was France's starter at the Milan Olympics and helped France earn promotion back to the top dividion of the World Championships for 2027. The former U SPORTS netminder won a national title in 2022 as a member of Concordia.
Olivia Wallin was a draft pick of the Seattle Torrent in 2025 but did not make their roster out of training camp. Instead, she joined the Ottawa charge as a reserve ad appeared in two games. The 24-year-old is a former member of Penn State and Minnesota-Duluth at the NCAA level.
Detroit now has 15 players under contract.
