PWHL Ottawa forward Fanni Gasparics suffered a season ending injury on Tuesday, which will require surgery.

Hungarian forward Fanni Gasparics has been added to PWHL Ottawa's long-term injury list (LTIR).
The 29-year-old Budapest native requires season-ending surgery following a lower-body injury on Tuesday, March 5, during the game where PWHL Ottawa faced PWHL Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center.
"We've been very happy to have Fanni on our team, so far, this season. She plays an important role in our team. Her positive attitude allowed her to quickly find her place within our organization," says PWHL Ottawa General Manager, Mike Hirshfeld.
Gasparics earned a spot on PWHL Ottawa last fall after getting an invitation to training camp as an undrafted player. She played in the first 15 games of the regular season. On February 28, she became the first player from Hungary to score a goal in the PWHL.
While not confirmed, it's believed PWHL Ottawa will be signing Samantha Isbell from PWHL Boston's reserve roster, and will also add Audrey-Anne Veillette, who they originally drafted this year, but was injured, to their reserve squad.
