Minnesota built an early lead and capitalized on its chances in a 4–1 win.

Minnesota Frost scored three first-period goals and added an empty net goal to defeat the Vancouver Goldeneyes 4–1 on Wednesday night.

Minnesota opened the scoring at 4:57 of the first period when Kendall Cooper scored her first career PWHL goal. Britta Curl-Salemme made it 2–0 at 17:07 with a one-timer from high between the circles, and the Frost capped the period with a power-play goal at 19:59. Mae Batherson’s point shot was tipped by Kelly Pannek and then batted in as it fluttered along the goal line, marking Pannek’s eighth goal of the season and her fourth straight game with a goal.

Vancouver responded in the second period, pressing the pace and outshooting Minnesota 12–2. Michelle Karvinen cut the deficit to 3–1 at 12:35, finishing a whip pass across the crease from Sarah Nurse, but the Goldeneyes were unable to generate further offense despite extended zone time.

Curl-Salemme scored her second of the game into an empty net at 19:26.

Taylor Heise recorded an assist on the play, giving her 52 career PWHL points and placing her among the league’s seven players to reach the 50-point mark. Tonight, Brianne Jenner and Hilary Knight both made it to 50 points as well in the Ottawa-Seattle contest.

Maddie Rooney made 31 saves on 32 shots for Minnesota, while Kristen Campbell stopped 18 of 21 shots for Vancouver. Minnesota finished 1-for-2 on the power play, while Vancouver went 0-for-2.

With the win, Minnesota continues to lead the league in goals-for and goal differential, reinforcing their status as the PWHL’s most consistent offensive team. Vancouver, meanwhile, showed signs of being able to be competitive against one of the league’s top teams despite the result.
