The PWHL season is winding down. Boston, Montreal, and Minnesota look like safe bets to make the playoffs, with the Fleet already secured. But there are many big games remaining.

There are only 27 games remaining on the PWHL's 2025-26 regular season schedule. It includes special moments at Madison Square Garden and TD Garden, along with the final PWHL Takeover Tour games of the year in Edmonton and Calgary.

More importantly, there are crucial games in the playoff race, and soon, the draft order race.

Seattle vs. New York - April 4

It's now or never for both of these teams. It's likely already too late for Seattle, but for the New York Sirens, this is as must-win of a must-win game as they get. New York's skid has gone on for weeks, and they're now playing without first overall pick Kristyna Kaltounkova. But they're also playing with some new faces, and what should be renewed motivation following their historic stop at Madison Square Gardens. If New York loses this game, the playoffs may be out of reach.

Ottawa vs. Toronto - April 11

A home game for Toronto, this will be the second of three remaining meetings between the two teams who look to be in pursuit of the fourth and final playoff spot. Ottawa missed the playoffs in year one, but made it to the Walter Cup finals in year two. The Toronto Sceptres have never missed the playoffs, but were twice eliminated in the opening round. Neither team wants to be the odd team out in 2026. If this game doesn't create separation, the two meet again on the final day of the season, April 25.

Boston vs. Montreal - April 17

Believe it or not, the PWHL's top teams don't have many games remaining against one another. Boston plays Montreal on April 11, Minnesota takes on Boston April 15, and the final game between two members of the top three, Boston versus Montreal once again, takes place on April 17. While Boston sits in first, there's plenty of time for the standings at the top to shuffle. The remaining head-to-head games, particularly for Boston, who will take part in all three of these games. If they're still in first after April 17, it will be hard to move them from the top spot.

Vancouver vs. Seattle - April 18

On November 21, the PWHL's two newest teams faced off in the inaugural game for both. On April 18, the two teams will face each other for a final time in their inaugural season. Nobody predicted these teams would struggle the way they did on the ice, but perhaps no one predicted they'd thrive as much as they have at the box office. Vancouver won the first two meetings of the season, but they'll finish off the newly minted West Coast rivalry on April 14 in Vancouver, and finally April 18 in Seattle. For fans out West, this game will mean something, whether there's playoff implications or not.

Minnesota vs. Vancouver - April 22

The final game of the regular season for the back-to-back Walter Cup champions, facing a team that took a chunk of their championship roster from last season, but struggled. Points could still matter for Vancouver in this game, whether it's for the final playoff spot, or perhaps draft order points, it's a meaningful game. For Minnesota, it's the last tune up, and one they won't take lightly, with their quest for a third straight Walter Cup about to begin.
