With the announcement of four more players to the Montreal Force's roster, the team's opening day lineup is beginning to take shape with 19 players now formally under contract.

The signing proved significant in relation to salary disclosure as Samantha Isbell and Kristina Shanahan became the first two players to disclose salary for the franchise. Isbell signed for $75,000, while Shanahan inked for $40,000. All contracts were one year deals.

Among the new signees is newcomer Emily Rickwood, a University of New Hampshire graduate and former Canadian U-18 national team member. Rickwood, 23, had 10 points in 36 games from the New Hampshire blueline last season. She was among the nation's leaders in blocked shots with 64.

“Emily Rickwood’s ceiling is high," said Force president Kevin Raphaël in a team press release. "We watched her play and grow this season. It will be an adaptation for her turning pro, but we’re very happy to bring her in and start the work.”

“Words can’t explain how grateful and excited I am to get started with La Force," said Rickwood. "To be able to continue my hockey career is a dream come true and I couldn’t have asked to be part of a better organization.”

The other Montreal signings were a group of returning players in Samantha Isbell, Brooke Stacey, and Kristina Shanahan.

Shanahan was a teammate of new Montreal signing Theresa Schafzahl captaining the University of Vermont before joining Montreal last season where she scored six points in 24 games as a rookie.

Stacey is entering her fourth season in the PHF, last year recording nine points in 24 games for the Force.

Isbell spent two seasons in the PWHPA before joining the Montreal Force last season where she recorded 12 points in 22 games.
