Minnesota Frost forward Dominique Petrie will miss the remainder of the season the forward announced on Monday.

Minnesota Frost sophomore Dominique Petrie will miss the remainder of the PWHL season. Petrie suffered a lower body injury on January 4, and will not return.

"Hockey is hard sometimes, injuries can suck, and life isn’t always fair," Petrie wrote on Instagram.

"Difficult to put into words the emotions about how this season closed out for me personally. This isn’t the end, rather the beginning of a new chapter. Grateful for everyone in my corner. Trusting in the plan and keeping the faith! Be back soon Minny💜"

Petrie appeared in 10 games this season for the Frost recording two goals and three points.

Last season she missed six gams and was placed on LTIR for an upper body injury suffered in December.

This time around, however, Petrie will not be returning this season.

The Frost placed Petrie on LTIR on January 8 and as they did last season, signed Kaitlyn O’Donohoe to fill her roster spot.
