The Minnesota Frost have signed Russian netminder Darya Gredzen to a one-year contract for the 2026-27 season.
The fifth round poick, 57th overall, was the first 2026 PWHL Draft pick to sign in Minnesota.
Gredzen spent the past seven seasons in Russia's top league, the ZhHL, playing for Biryusa Krasnoyarsk. The 22-year-old was Russia's Best Player in 2023-24 and Goaltender of the Year in 2024-25. She also represented Russia at the 2022 Olympics and has also represented Russia at the U-18 World Championships prior to the nation's ban from international competition.
Last season Gredzen posted a 2.22 GAA and .928 save percentage.
She joins a growing group of Russian's in the PWHL including Fanuza Kadirova, Anna Shokhina, Vita Poniatovskaia, and possible Maria Batalova, who will attend PWHL training camp with Montreal.
