Mikyla Grant-Mentis is a goal scorer. In three seasons in the PHF she won league MVP, was named a Fans Three Star Selection, and represented Canada at the PHF All-Star game this year.
With the puck on her stick in the offensive zone, few in pro hockey are as potent. One thing Grant-Mentis excels at is selling fakes and delays to find shooting lanes, and get goaltenders moving to create an opening. Her vision to read those opportunities is often followed by a strong shot.
Grant-Mentis effectively uses her body while driving to the net to protect the puck and create separation from defenders.
In 51 career PHF games, the Merrimack College alumni recorded 63 points. She'll be a sought after player for the new professional women's hockey league.
