PWHL Toronto's 11 game winning streak surpassed the Toronto Maple Leafs' franchise record of 10 games set in 1993.

1993 was a good year for professional men's hockey in Toronto. It started with Doug Gilmour's 127 point regular season, a Nikolai Borschevsky game seven overtime winner to upset Detroit, and a heartbreaking game seven loss to Los Angeles in game seven of the conference finals. When the 1993-1994 season began with a franchise record ten game winning streak, with Toronto opening 10-0-0.
That streak had never been accomplished before, and has never been done again by the Toronto Maple Leafs in their 107 year existence.
In PWHL Toronto's first ever season, they have broken Toronto's professional hockey winning streak, last night capturing their 11th straight victory beating Boston 2-1 on home ice.
The only caveat to this record is, the Toronto Maple Leafs during their 1990s era, were playing in a time when ties were permitted. During January of 1994, Toronto went on an 11 game undefeated streak (seven wins, four ties), matching their franchise record from October and November of 1950 when the team won eight and tied three.
Even if the Toronto Maple Leafs had won all eleven games during those streaks, PWHL Toronto's current streak would be tied for the longest in Toronto pro hockey history.
During PWHL Toronto's current 11 game winning streak, nine of those victories came in regulation, one in overtime, and the other in a shootout. The team is currently on a five game regulation winning streak.
Toronto set all three records playing under the same roof, today's Mattamy Athletic Centre, the former Maple Leaf Gardens.
