Sweden honoured their women's hockey All-Stars with players from the PWHL, NCAA, and SDHL receiving recognition, led by Mira Jungåker, who was named the Swedish women's Player of the Year.
Sweden remains a women's hockey power on the rise. They advanced to the bronze medal game at the 2026 Olympics ahead of perennial contenders Czechia and Finland marking that the nation has finally arrived back among the elite programs globally.
With Sweden's cohesive plan for girls and women's hockey domestically, mixed with the ever-increasing waves of top players joining the NCAA and PWHL, the nation continues to take strides.
With an eye on their top players from the 2025-26 season, Ohio State defender Mira Jungåker was voted the Swedish Player of the Year. Jungåker was Sweden's defensive backbone at the Olympics, and with the graduation of players like Caroline Harvey to the PWHL this season, Jungåker looks like the heir apparent to the title of NCAA's top blueliner.
Joining Jungåker on Sweden's women's hockey All-Star roster were goaltender Ebba Svensson Traff, who took over Sweden's crease at the Olympics and had a spectacular season in net for Linköping.
On the blueline alongside Jungåker was New York Sirens defender Maja Nylén Persson.
Up front was Hilda Svensson, who had a spectacular rookie season with Ohio State, and Thea Johansson, who finished her NCAA career with Minnesota-Duluth and tied for Sweden's scoring lead at the Olympic Games. Veteran Hanna Olsson rounded out the roster after a strong season with Frölunda and an impactful performance at the Olympics.
