Former PHF MVP Kennedy Marchment has signed a two-year contract with PWHL Montreal.

“Kennedy elevates the performance of her teammates and possesses an astonishing talent for deciphering plays, creating offensive chances, and excelling in fast-paced situations," said PWHL Montreal general manager Danièle Sauvageau.

Marchment, 26, spent the past two seasons with the PHF's Connecticut Whale scoring 30 goals and 78 points in 44 games.

Prior to this season, Marchment had signed a contract for the upcoming season worth $130,000, but that deal was voided with the acquisition of the PHF by the Mark Walter Group.

Prior to joining the PHF, Marchment lit up Sweden's SDHL for three seasons scoring 188 points in 106 games, and also scored more than a point per game at the NCAA level with St. Lawrence, notching 154 points in 142 career games.

“I am extremely honoured and excited to be moving to Montreal to play in the PWHL," said Marchment. "I cannot wait for the season to start and to get on the ice with my new teammates in front of the amazing fans!”
