PWHL Toronto finished first overall in the regular season, but saw a first round exit at the hands of Minnesota. They've got a few players they'll want to extend prior to free agency opening June 21.

PWHL Toronto was dominant in the regular season. They went through an 11 game winning streak, were first to clinch a playoff spot, and clinched first overall early. They looked like a lock to play for the PWHL title getting up 2-0 on Minnesota early, but then they collapsed and suffered a reverse sweep at the hands of PWHL Minnesota.
Toronto will be in a unique position where they're strong, and have plenty of depth returning, but they also have plenty of room to strengthen their roster from the periphery.
Brittany Howard, Rebecca Leslie, Sam Cogan, Hannah Miller, Alexa Vasko, Kaitlin Willoughby, Jess Jones, Allie Munroe, Maude Poulin-Labelle, Olivia Knowles, Laurianne Rougeau, Erica Howe, and Carly Jackson were all on one year deals for Toronto this season.
The main priority for the offseason for Toronto is securing Hannah Miller. She's a big, powerful forward who can score, and play a two way game. She's an undervalued and under the radar standout in this league. With Brittany Howard retiring to take on a coaching role in Pittsburgh, it weakens Toronto's wing, and if they were to lose Miller, it would do that to a point that would be difficult to make up for. Depending on the severity of Natalie Spooner's injury, Hannah Miller's role as a power forward with Toronto is even more important. She's not just a priority, she's a 'must sign.' In terms of the rest of their free agents, defender Allie Munroe would be the top player to focus on. Toronto will certainly wait until after the draft to target anyone else on the blueline as they'll have a chance to take an elite defender in the opening round. There's a chance a player like Rebecca Leslie could be re-upped as well, but for the most part, Toronto will wait until after the draft, and likely after the start of free agency to deal with anyone outside Miller and perhaps Munroe.
