Alex Carpenter scored her league leading 12th point, the overtime winning goal for PWHL New York in Saturday's 2-1 win over Boston.

Alex Carpenter scored her the overtime winner, her sixth goal of the season giving PWHL New York a 2-1 victory over Boston on Saturday in Lowell.
The goal put Carpenter into sole possession of the PWHL's scoring lead with 12 points.
"Definitely the start we wanted after that little break there," said Carpenter. "To come out with a win here, I think we put together a pretty solid game there, and just glad to come out with a couple points. We've done a good job all season of kind of re-setting after a team ties it or gets ahead of us, so I think we did just that, and we're lucky to come out with that win."
Megan Keller had sent the game to overtime scoring with 1:04 remaining in the game and Boston's goaltender pulled for the extra attacker.
Emma Woods opened the scoring in the game in the first period after Madison Packer battled a puck loose out front for woods.
Corinne Schroeder continued her strong play this season stopping 34 shots in the game.
Up next, Boston hosts Ottawa on Monday for an afternoon game previously scheduled for January 8. New York hits the ice on Wednesday for a game at UBS Arena against Montréal.
