There's star power in the PWHL. International superstars like Marie-Philip Poulin, Hilary Knight, Ann-Renee Desbiens, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Alina Muller, and Taylor Heise are exciting fans across the league.

Few however, have captivated the interests and hearts of fans like PWHL Ottawa's Lexie Adzija.

Adzija currently leads PWHL Ottawa in scoring with four goals and six points in seven games. On the ice, her powerful play and enthusiastic celebrations are endearing her to fans of the game.

Off the ice, Adzija's impact goes even further. This week Adzija's appearance at a young girls' birthday party went viral showing the impact the PWHL is having on the next generation.

Adzija is quickly becoming one of the league's most beloved personalities. For many, it's a welcomed departure from the NHL, where stoic responses that focus on group mentality without individuality is the norm. For many NHLers who have stepped outside this mentality, their careers have been negatively impacted. In the PWHL however, the league is embracing players' personalities both on and off the ice, featuring their daily lives, interests, and social media presences prominently, and are keeping players accessible to fans, including at games.

Adzija has been one of many players in the league engaging with fans at the rink, and online who is helping to rapidly build the PWHL's fan base, and in turn, she's create a massive fan following of her own.
