PWHL Seattle’s roster is shaping up nicely with their five signings during the exclusive signing window and seven picks on the expansion draft. Here’s a look at their players.

    Seattle's Five Signings:

    Hilary Knight, F, Boston Fleet

The co-leader in PWHL scoring last season with 29 points, Knight immediately brings a veteran presence and leadership to the new team. Knight will be an easy choice for captain in Seattle.

    Danielle Serdachny, F, Ottawa Charge

Serdachny is ready for a fresh start after a slightly disappointing rookie season. She was the #2 overall pick last summer yet was left unprotected. She can play center or wing so she'll be able to play on any line.

    Cayla Barnes, D, Montreal Victoire

Seattle's blue line will start with one of the best young players in the PWHL. Barnes is a smart, shifty offensive defender and will run the power play immediately. She signed a three-year contract so she plans to stay out west, closer to her California roots.

Alex Carpenter, F, New York Sirens

After New York left Carpenter unprotected, it was an easy choice for GM Meghan Turner to grab her. Carpenter is one of the most consistent offensive producers and a huge building block for Seattle (she's still only 31).

Corinne Schroeder, G, New York Sirens

Seattle chose Schroeder as their starting goalie, and will lean on her two years of experience and over 1,000 saves (she also has five shutouts, four of them last season). She's been very consistent and will deliver expected saves every game.

These five players set up Seattle well for constructing a rock-solid roster. The scoring punch is there, the first important defender is in place, and the net is looked after. Expect them to take another two top defenders in the draft.

    Seattle's Expansion Picks:

    1. Aneta Tejralová, D, Ottawa

Seattle are getting an all-around complete defender in Tejralová, longtime captain of the Czech senior team. She played a ton of minutes and in every situation for Ottawa, who will have a hard time replacing her leadership and poise. She also chipped in 10 points in 30 games.

    2. Hannah Bilka, F, Boston Fleet

Bilka was drafted fourth overall by the Fleet, after winning a championship with Ohio State where she led the team in points with 22 goals and 26 assists in 39 games. A pure offensive threat with speed to burn, Bilka will make an immediate impact on the scoresheet. She missed 14 games in her rookie season due to injury but was dynamic whenever she was in the lineup, finishing with 11 points in 16 games.

    3. Jessie Eldridge, F, New York Sirens

Eldridge ranks among the PWHL's elite scorers over two seasons, in the top ten of all-time with 38 points in 54 games—more than any other available player. She's proven effective both alongside stars like Fillier and Carpenter in New York and when leading her own line.

    4. Julia Gosling, F, Toronto Sceptres

Gosling is a big forward with a lethal shot, so she was undeniably going to get taken. Seattle stepped up and took the rookie who has played for Canada and is familiar playing with big-name players. Her game was rounding into shape in the playoffs, and next year she could take a big step forward.

    5. Anna Wilgren, D, Montreal Victoire

Victoire fans knew it was coming - Wilgren was a standout defender in her first year, and gives Seattle a great second-pair option.

    6. Megan Carter, D, Toronto Sceptres

Another rookie selection - Carter was injured at the start of the season for Toronto, but made a huge difference in the lineup when she made her debut. Steady, physical and hard to play against.

    7. Emily Brown, D, Boston Fleet

A veteran presence with two years of experience who gives the Seattle blue line extra depth to lean on. Defensive defender who gives you exactly what you expect.
