PWHL teams are now down to 27 players per roster. They'll each need to make four additional cuts by December 7, prior to the final waiver period and final roster deadline of December 11. Here's a look at the final decisions each team still has to make and the players they'll carry into the league's preseason camp in Utica, New York.

    Boston

Signed Players (19): Hannah Brandt, Shiann Darkangelo, Loren Gabel, Taylor Girard, Hilary Knight, Nicole Kosta, Alina Müller, Jamie Lee Rattray, Theresa Schafzahl, and Sophie Shirley, Emily Brown, Emma Buckles, Jessica DiGirolamo, Kaleigh Fratkin, Jess Healey, Sophie Jaques, and Megan Keller, Aerin Frankel, and Emma Söderberg.

Unsigned Players In Camp (8): Sammy Davis, Amanda Pelkey, Cami Kronish, Taylor Wenczkowski, McKenna Brand, Gigi Marvin, Lauren MacInnis, Samantha Isbell

What needs to happen: Boston has seven defenders and two goaltenders signed, which means the final four roster spots will include at least three forwards. That competition is heated including longtime USA national team star Gigi Marvin who is attempting to come out of retirement to join the league, former national team member Amanda Pelkey, and PHF veterans Taylor Wenczkowski, McKenna Brand, Sammy Davis, and Samantha Isbell. Boston has some of the best unsigned players in the league up front, and there's an extremely thin margin between the players remaining.

    Minnesota

Signed Players (15): Clair Butorac, Sophia Kunin, Liz Schepers, Sydney Brodt, Brooke Bryant, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Taylor Heise, Kelly Pannek, Brittyn Fleming, Susanna Tapani, Grace Zumwinkle, Natalie Buchbinder, Maggie Flaherty, Lee Stecklein, and Nicole Hensley.

Unsigned Players In Camp (12): Michaela Cava, Denisa Krizova, Clair DeGeorge, , Abby Boreen, Brittyn Fleming, Emma Greco, Abby Cook, Nikki Nightengale, Dominique Kremer, Maddie Rooney, Lauren Bench, Sidney Morin, Amanda Leveille

What needs to happen: There are two major points to deal with in Minnesota, primarily on the blueline where the team only has three defenders signed, and in net, where only Nicole Hensley has been inked. Among their currently unsigned or unannounced players, forwards Michaela Cava and Denisa Krizova seem like locks, and the same goes for defender Sidney Morin. Word has also been circulating that Maddie Rooney will be Minnesota's second goalie. What that leaves is three openings on the blueline.

    Montreal

Signed Players (15): Ann-Sophie Bettez, Sarah Bujold, Claire Dalton, Jillian Dempsey, Kennedy Marchment, Maureen Murphy, Kristin O’Neill, Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, Erin Ambrose, Mariah Keopple, Dominika Lásková, Kati Tabin, Elaine Chuli, and Ann-Renée Desbiens.

Unsigned Players In Camp (12): Tereza Vanisova, Gabrielle David, Alex Poznikoff, Sarah Lefort, Leah Lum, Catherine Dubois, Madison Bizal, Maude Poulin-Labelle, Catherine Daoust, Brigette Laganiere, Marlene Boissonnault, Melodie Daoust

What needs to happen: Montreal is certain to sign their four remaining drafted players, and beyond that, they'll be left with the decision between of two forwards and one defender. On the back end, that will come between Catherine Daoust and Brigette Laganiere who both played for the PHF's Montreal Force last season, while up front it's anyone's call between Alex Poznikoff, Sarah Lefort, Leah Lum, and Catherine Dubois.

    New York

Signed Players (16): Chloé Aurard, Alex Carpenter, Jade Downie-Landry, Jessie Eldridge, Élizabeth Giguère, Alexandra Labelle, Paetyn Levis, Abby Roque, Kayla Vespa, Emma Woods, Jaime Bourbonnais, Brooke Hobson, Ella Shelton, Olivia Zafuto, Micah Zandee-Hart, and Abbey Levy.

Unsigned Players in Camp (11): Madison Packer, Corinne Schroeder, Jill Saulnier, Taylor Baker, Savannah Norcross, Alexa Gruschow, Johanna Fallman, Lindsay Post, Claire Thompson, Carley Olivier, Emily Curlett

What needs to happen: New York still needs to sign one player to a three-year contract, and unless the alter a current one or two-year deal, it's going to goaltender Corinne Schroeder. On the blueline, it's doubtful Micah Zandee-Hart will be ready for the opening game of the season, which leaves three spots open on the blueline, although New York could use Claire Thompson's first PTO to fill that void temporarily. Aside from Madison Packer up front, who will miss the preseason camp next week with injury, but looks well on pace to return in time for the season, New York is a team who should be watching the second waiver window to potentially grab another forward, and could even examine a defender despite the fact they still have ten in camp. Who New York plays in the Fan Fest against Ottawa will be indicative of where those final decisions rest.

    Ottawa

Signed Players (17): Lexie Adzija, Emily Clark, Kristin Della Rovere, Becca Gilmore, Gabbie Hughes, Brianne Jenner, Kateřina Mrázová, Hayley Scamurra, Daryl Watts, Ashton Bell, Amanda Boulier, Zoe Boyd, Savannah Harmon, Aneta, Tejralova, Jincy Roese, Sandra Abstreiter and Emerance Maschmeyer.

Unsigned Players In Camp (11): Mikyla Grant-Mentis, Akane Shiga, Natalie Snodgrass, Rosalie Demers, Malia Schneider, Liliane Perreault, Rachel McQuigge, Fanni Garat-Gasparics, Tori Howran, Taylor Davison

What needs to happen: Ottawa has four forward spots available and seven players left in camp fighting for those spots. It's the competition everyone will be watching at the preseason camp in Ottawa.

    Toronto

Signed Players (16): Jesse Compher, Maggie Connors, Brittany Howard, Rebecca Leslie, Emma Maltais, Hannah Miller, Sarah Nurse, Natalie Spooner, Blayre Turnbull, Alexa Vasko, Renata Fast, Kali Flanagan, Jocelyne Larocque, Allie Munroe, Kristen Campbell and Erica Howe.

Unsigned Players In Class (11): Sam Cogan, Jess Jones, Kaitlin Willoughby, Emma Keenan, Lauriane Rougeau, Jess Kondas, Olivia Knowles, Mellissa Channell, Carly Jackson, Amanda Makela, Victoria Bach.

What needs to happen: There are a few variables here. Victoria Bach is the biggest question mark right now. Without her, Toronto could look at outside options to pick up more depth up front. With her, their forward group is almost complete, although they still need to sign a pair of free agents to fill out their bottom six. The blueline is intriguing with four players signed, but two drafted players unsigned who look to be competing for roster spots with Kennan, Rougeau, and Kondas. Finally, Toronto needs to settle on a third goaltender as one of only two teams with four goalies still rostered.
