PWHL Toronto has inked their first player from the 2023 PWHL Draft, signing 11th round pick Maggie Connors to a two-year contract.

Connors was selected 62nd overall by Toronto at the draft following a strong NCAA career with Princeton.

“We are thrilled to have come to an agreement with Maggie Connors. Maggie is certainly a piece of the puzzle we are creating in Toronto, and we look forward to the impact she will have on our team this season," said Toronto general manager Gina Kingsbury.

In her senior season with Princeton, the 23-year-old St. John's, Newfoundland product recorded 33 points in 31 games. Across her NCAA career, Connors scored 78 goals and 145 points in 127 games.

“I couldn’t be happier to officially sign and be a part of the Toronto franchise," said Connors. It is such a storied city with incredible sports fans, and I can’t wait to get this historic inaugural season started!”

Prior to Princeton, Connors attended Shattuck St. Mary's and won bronze as a member of Canada's U-18 national team.
