The Minnesota Whitecaps have been around for much longer than the NWHL / PHF. Established in 2004, the acquisition of the PHF marked the end of a nearly 20 year run for the organization. Originally the team played in the Western Women's Hockey League, and then became independent.

The team won both a Clarkson Cup and an Isobel Cup, the only team in hockey history to do both.

The team has two Hockey Hall of Fame members in their alumni in Angela Ruggeiro and Caroline Ouellette. The loss of the Whitecaps is truly a loss of hockey history.

Here is a look at the Minnesota Whitecaps all-time roster featuring 10 forwards, 7 defenders, and 2 goalies.
