The PHF's Minnesota Whitecaps have signed Brooke Bryant, who recently finished her NCAA career at Minnesota State.
After five seasons with Minnesota State, forward Brooke Bryant is staying local signing with the PHF's Minnesota Whitecaps.
As a senior last year, Bryant scored 20 points in 36 games with the the Minnesota State (Mankato) Mavericks.
“Playing college in Minnesota made playing for the Whitecaps a huge goal of mine,” Bryant said in a team news release. “Having the opportunity to play with such a talented group of players is a dream come true.”
A product of Linden, California Bryant was recognized multiple times as a member of the WCHA's All-Academic team during her tenure with Minnesota State. Bryant played her youth hockey with the Anaheim Lady Ducks and California Wave.
Bryant will be reunited with former Minnesota State teammate Brittyn Fleming, who the Whitecaps re-signed earlier this offseason.
“Brooke has really great chemistry with Brittyn Fleming, and I anticipate the pair to put up points this season,” Whitecaps GM Chi-Yin Tse said. “She brings high energy and will be a shooting threat all over the ice. I really liked what I saw in her college career and felt as if she could be another impact player.”
The Minnesota Whitecaps finished fourth in the PHF regular season standings before upsetting Boston in the opening round of playoffs. They'd fall to the Toronto Six in the Isobel Cup final.
