The Montreal Force completed their goaltending tandem this week signing Minnesota product Lauren Bench.

Bench, 25, will play alongside reigning PHF Goaltender of the Year Corinne Schroeder.

“Lauren Bench is exactly what we were looking for," said Montreal team president Kevin Raphael.

"A person that’s willing to work hard and understand her role on the team. Lauren had a great stint at the University of Minnesota and carried a MoDo team in her first season as a professional. We’re very happy to have her here and she could be one of the steals of PHF free agency.”

Bench posted a 2.29 GAA and .919 save percentage in the SDHL last season with MoDo after playing five seasons of NCAA Division I hockey split between Bemidji State and Minnesota.

Bench is the 20th player signed by the Montreal Force this offseason.
