PWHL Montreal has completed their crease signing former Toronto Six star and PHF Goaltender of the Year Elaine Chuli.

PWHL Montreal has completed their crease with the signing of Elaine Chuli to a one-year contract.
"Securing a goalie who has championship experience, like Elaine, was important to us," said head coach Kori Cheverie. "She is a competitor in the net and pushes her teammates and that is exciting for us."
Chuli, 29, was the 2021-2022 PHF Goaltender of the Year and backstopped the Toronto Six to an Isobel Cup championship in 2023. Last season with Toronto Chuli posted a 2.61 GAA and .917 save percentage along with a 12-5-0 record.
Montreal selected Chuli 78th overall in the 2023 PWHL Draft.
Prior to joining the Toronto Six, Chuli spent one season in the PWHPA, and played two seasons in the CWHL with the Toronto Furies and KRS Vanke Rays.
She was a four year standout with the University of Connecticut, and won gold as a member of Canada's U-18 team at the 2012 U-18 World Championships.
Chuli will form the other half of a netminding tandem with Canadian national team starter Ann-Renee Desbiens.
