PWHL Toronto locked in Canadian national team star Natalie Spooner to a two-year contract.

Spooner was selected 23rd overall in the fourth round of the PWHL Draft by Toronto.

Spooner, 32, a Scarborough, Ontario product, made her return to Canada's national team this spring after giving birth to her first child. She has two Olympic and two World Championship gold medals, and six silvers with Canada.

In international competition, Spooner has been one of Canada's most consistent contributors for more than a decade twice earning World Championship all-star honors in 2015 and 2021.

Spooner suited up for Team Scotiabank in the PWHPA last season, and was a long time member of the Toronto Furies in the CWHL. At the NCAA level, Spooner spent four seasons with Ohio State.
