PWHL Toronto superstar Natalie Spooner, who led the league in goals and points this season, will miss the remainder of the playoffs after suffering a knee injury on a hit in the third period of game three of their PWHL semi-final series.

PWHL Toronto placed Spooner on long term injured reserve.

The 33-year-old scored 20 goals and 27 points in 24 games during the regular-season and had one goal and one assist in three playoff games.

“It’s a big loss for us, obviously Natalie has been an important part of our success all year,” said Gina Kingsbury, PWHL Toronto's general manager. “We have no doubt Natalie will continue to have an impact on our team, just in a different way.”

PWHL Toronto activated Jess Jones signing her to a standard player agreement in a corresponding move.
