The New York Sirens will look to close out their season opening three-game road trip undefeated, while the Boston Fleet look to finally spark their offense.

New York Sirens head coach Greg Fargo discusses rookie Sarah Fillier and her chemistry with Alex Carpenter

The rest of the PWHL has already celebrated their home openers with their fans. For the New York Sirens, they still have 10 days before they'll suit up in front of a home crowd at their new rink, the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

New York however, has opened strong, winning their first two games on the road in Minnesota and Montreal, with one road game remaining against the Boston Fleet.

“We're focused on taking ground and building on the identity we’ve been working to establish since day one of camp," said head coach Greg Fargo ahead of their game against the Fleet. "Starting the season with three road games is always a challenge, but finishing this swing on a strong note would be an important step for us. We’re ready for the battle against Boston and the opportunity to keep growing as a group.”

The dynamic duo of Sarah Fillier and Alex Carpenter have been a big part of New York's start, as has the consistent netminding of Corinne Schroeder. New York has shown their capable of generating offense in all situations scoring eight goals through their first two games.

Conversely, they're meeting a Boston team who has only scored twice in their opening games, both coming off the stick of captain Hilary Knight.

“For us, the focus for Sunday is creating more sustained pressure in the offensive zone, getting pucks to the net, and capitalizing on our scoring chances," said Fleet head coach Courtney Kessel. "If we do that and continue to play smart, physical hockey, we’ll give ourselves the best chance.”

New York will face Boston Sunday at 4pm at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
