PWHL New York has secured another cornerstone of their blueline inking Canadian national team member Ella Shelton to a three-year contract.

"Thrilled to share this exciting news with all our New York fans that our organization's very first draft pick has made a commitment to build with us for the next three seasons," said New York GM Pascal Daoust.

"Ella's undeniable talent, maturity, leadership, and unwavering passion are qualities that will undoubtedly elevate not only everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her but also collectively pave the way for us to become a leading organization in our pursuit of excellence."

Shelton, 25, has two World Championship and an Olympic gold medal representing Canada, and won a pair of NCAA national championships with Clarkson, a program she captained in 2018-2019.

New York selected Ella Shelton in the first round, 4th overall in the inaugural PWHL Draft.
