    Élizabeth Giguère, a former Patty Kazmaier Award winner as the NCAA's top player has signed a one-year contract with PWHL New York.

    "We're honored to bring aboard Élizabeth Giguère," said general manager Pascal Daoust. With skills and flair that will undoubtedly electrify fans every time she hits the ice, she brings to the lineup a daily drive to continuously elevate her game.” 

    Last season Giguère was one of the top players in the PHF scoring 22 points in 18 games for the Boston Pride. This offseason she'd signed with the Montreal Force. 

    Giguère, 26, is excited to get started in the PWHL with New York, who selected her 28th overall in the PWHL Draft.

    "I was so excited to hear my name called by PWHL New York. I cannot wait for training camp to start, and to meet all of New York’s great fans in the Tri-State area," said Giguère. "I want to especially thank my mom and dad, my wife, Claudia, my brothers, and the rest of my family and friends - I would not be here without you. Let’s go, New York!”

    Last year Giguère also appeared with Team Canada at the Canada-USA Rivalry Series, and previously represented Canada at the U-18 World Championships.

    In the NCAA, Giguère helped Clarkson to the 2018 national title and won the 2020 Patty Kazmaier Award.
