PWHL Ottawa has signed recent NCAA grad Zoe Boyd to a one-year contract to help bolster their blueline.

"Zoe is an incredibly well-rounded player who helps on both ends of the ice," said Ottawa GM Mike Hirshfeld. "She is relatively young in her career and we are excited to see her continue to grow this season."

Boyd, 22, was an assistant captain for Quinnipiac, and also wore an "A" for Canada's U-18 national team in 2018. Prior to joining the PWHL, Boyd had signed to play for the PHF's Boston Pride this offseason, where president Colleen Coyne called Boyd "a tough, solid, and consistent presence on the blue line."

Last season, Boyd recorded 14 points in 27 games for the Quinnipiac Bobcats.

She joins a growing group of Ottawa signings including Emerance Machmeyer, Emily Clark, Brianne Jenner, Gabbie Hughes, Lexie Adzija, and Jincy Roese-Dunne.
