Their opponent, the first place Montreal Victoire, dropped their second in a row.
Stephanie Markowski opened the scoring for Ottawa when Emily Clark found her all alone in front. It was Markowski's first professional goal.
After Laura Stacey tied the game for the Montreal Victoire on the power play, Clark scored her first of the game to give Ottawa back their lead. Clark and Mannon McMahon broke in on a two-on-one with McMahon sliding a perfect pass to Clark who finished on the drive.
With time winding down in the game, Clark scored her second of the game into the empty net to ice the game.
In net, Gwyneth Philips made 15 saves for Ottawa in the win.
