The Ottawa Charge announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed forward Mannon McMahon to a one-year Standard Player Agreement, keeping the fifth-round pick in the nation's capital for a second season.

“I’m extremely grateful to be staying in Ottawa,” said McMahon in the team’s press release. “From the moment I got here, it felt like home. The fans are the best in the league, and they’ve embraced me from day one and made this city such a special place for me to play. I’m proud to be an Ottawa Charge and thankful for the opportunity to continue to grow with this team and this community.”

McMahon, 23, made her PWHL debut last season after being selected 26th overall in the 2024 draft. She appeared in every game for Ottawa, including the postseason, and finished her rookie campaign with eight points. Her consistent effort, physical edge, and speed on the forecheck made her a valuable part of the Charge’s forward group, as she played alongside Emily Clark and Gabbie Hughes on the team's top line.

“We are delighted to bring back Mannon for a second season with our team,” said Charge General Manager Mike Hirshfeld. “She adapted quickly to our league and made great strides during the season. She was at her best when she displayed her elite speed and when she applied pressure on the forecheck. She came up with some big goals for us and we can’t wait to see what a year of experience will bring to her game in 2025–26.”

A product of the University of Minnesota Duluth, McMahon brought a strong two-way game to Ottawa in her first professional season and showed flashes of offensive potential, particularly in high-pressure moments.

McMahon was the final restricted free agent the team needed to sign this offseason. With her back under contract, the Charge roster now sits at 22 players heading into camp later this year.
