Ottawa Charge teammates Michela Cava and Emma Greco will add a new moniker to their relationship, fiancés.
The duo announced on social media Wednesday that they were engaged, joining a growing number of engaged PWHL players.
The location tagged in the photo suggests the couple were engaged in Maui, Hawaii.
This summer alone that group increased in numbers when Emily Clark (Hamilton) and Jaime Bourbonnais (New York) announced their engagement, as did Toronto Sceptres defenders Allie Munroe and Kali Flanagan. Montreal Victoire teammates Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey were married in September 2024, and PWHL defenders Anna Kjellbin (Hamilton) and Ronja Savolainen (Ottawa) are also engaged. There are other couples, including teammates, in the PWHL as well.
Cava and Greco both signed last season with the expansion Vancouver Goldeneyes and were part of a six-player trade sending the pair to the Ottawa Charge where they helped Ottawa reach the Walter Cup finals.
The pair first played together in 2020-21 as members of the PHF's Toronto Six. They helped the Six win the 2023 Isobel Cup. The following season, Cava, 32, and Greco, 31, won the inaugural Walter Cup as members of PWHL Minnesota.
In 2024-25, the pair spent their first season apart when Greco played for the Boston Fleet, and Cava stayed with the Minnesota Frost before reuniting in Vancouver.
Both are signed with the Ottawa Charge through this season.
