The Ottawa Charge and the PWHL have reached a multi-year agreement for the team to play its games at the Canadian Tire Centre, home of the NHL's Ottawa Senators, starting in the 2026-27 season.

The Ottawa Charge will be calling the Canadian Tire Centre home.

In an announcement Thursday, alongside Cyril Leeder, President and CEO of the NHL's Ottawa Senators; Ottawa Charge General Manager Mike Hirshfeld; and forward Rebecca Leslie, the team shared its move to the Canadian Tire Centre beginning in the 2026-27 season. The agreement will be a multi-year partnership.

"This is the next chapter in our organization," said Hirshfeld. "Beginning in the 2026-27 season, we will be playing and practicing here at CTC full time. We're really excited about this opportunity, we're excited to play in this arena and all the benefits we'll get from this situation."

'Growing up in Ottawa, it was really special whenever I had the opportunity to come and watch the Sens play," said Leslie. "We're really excited to be playing at the CTC. Our fans showed up in great numbers during the playoffs, and the facilities are second to none."

Additional details of the agreement include a separate locker room, lounge, medical and equipment space for players, and coaches' offices. The team will also look to expand corporate sponsorship opportunities. Parking will be similar to that of Senators games, and public transportation will be an area the organization will work with the city to ensure options are available. Leeder also mentioned that third-party options are being explored.

Leeder also confirmed that the Ottawa Charge will be a part of the plans as the Senators move towards their own goal of moving to Lebreton Flats. Those discussions, which are well underway, would now provide both teams the opportunity to be more central and accessible to more fans within the city.
