PWHL Ottawa has locked in a key piece to their blueline signing American national team member Savannah Harmon to a three-year contract.
Ottawa selected Harmon fifth overall in the PWHL Draft.
Harmon is one of the top defenders in America, playing in Team USA's top four in recent international competitions, including helping her nation win gold at the 2023 World Championships.
The Downers Grove, Illinois product has won four medals with Team USA, including gold in 2023, two World Championship silvers, and an Olympic silver medal in 2022.
Harmon, 27, also owns a pair of NCAA national championships with Clarkson, including her senior season in 2018 when she was named ECAC Defender of the Year.
This season Harmon won a Secret Cup as a member of Team Harvey's in the PWHPA.
