Daryl Watts, who was the highest paid player in women's hockey last season, has signed a one-year contract with PWHL Ottawa.
"We are pleased to have Daryl join our team," said GM Mike Hirshfeld. "Her offensive talents are undoubtedly some of the best in this league and the fans in Ottawa are going to be excited to watch her in action."
Watts joined the PHF's Toronto Six midway through last season scoring seven points in 12 games after signing a two-year $150,000 contract, helping the Six win an Isobel Cup title.
Watts won the 2018 Patty Kazmaier Award as the NCAA's top player scoring 82 points in 38 games. She later transferred to Wisconsin where she won an NCAA title, was a three-time Patty Kazmaier finalist, and was named the 2021 WCHA Offensive Player of the Year.
Ottawa selected Watts 32nd overall in this year's PWHL Draft.
