The 2025 PWHL Draft will take place Tuesday, June 24 at 7pm in Ottawa at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

According to a league press release, "The event will bring together the league’s leading prospects, well-known figures from the women’s hockey community, and the PWHL’s dedicated fanbase to celebrate the next wave of league stars."

 The PWHL Draft declaration period opened in early March with top players including Casey O'Brien, Nicole Gosling, Kristyna Kaltounkova, Natalie Mlynkova, Rory Guilday, and Haley Winn already declaring. The declaration period closes on May 8.

It's believed several European players including Anna Shokhina, Michelle Karvinen, and Sara Hjalmarsson will declare as well. The biggest question mark for the 2025 PWHL Draft is whether or not Abbey Murphy, projected to go first overall, and Lacey Eden, a likely top 10 pick, will declare for the draft or return to the NCAA.

The PWHL Draft will be presented by Upper Deck.
