The Pacific Coliseum was at capacity as fans flocked to the first ever Vancouver Goldeneyes home game. Nancy Shields captured the game frame by frame. Here's a look back at opening night.

The Vancouver Goldeneyes won their inaugural home opener 4-3 in front of a crowd of 14,958 fans at the Pacific Coliseum. The boisterous crowd was behind their new Vancouver team from start to finish against fellow expansion team, the Seattle Torrent.

The crowd was filled with homemade signs, and fans wearing their Vancouver jerseys on opening night.

Here's a look at the action through the lens of The Hockey News' Nancy Shields.
