

The PWHL today announced their three finalists for the league's MVP award. Toronto Sceptres' blueliner Renata Fast, Boston Fleet captain Hilary Knight, and Montreal Victoire captain Marie-Philip Poulin were voted the finalists for the 2025 PWHL Billie Jean King MVP award.
According to the PWHL, "The PWHL Billie Jean King MVP award is presented to the player considered most valuable to their team’s success throughout the regular season."
Fast played a league leading 739:45 minutes this season averaging 24:39 per game with the Sceptres. She tied for the league lead in scoring by a defender with 22 points. She also led the league with 63 hits, and was third in blocked shots.
Hilary Knight tied for the league scoring led with 29 points this season and led all forward in time on ice with 666:26 minutes played.
Finally, Marie-Philip Poulin was the PWHL's goal scoring leader notching 19 goals, while finishing fourth in league scoring with 26 points. She accounted for 25.7% of Montreal's goals this season, the highest share of any player in the league. She was also the most recognized player in the league's three-star voting this season, and led the league in plus/minus at +17.
In 2024, Toronto forward Natalie Spooner was voted the inaugural league MVP.
The PWHL will announce their award winners June 25 at a ceremony in Ottawa.
