    The PWHL has announced Sarah Fillier of the New York Sirens, Hilary Knight of the Boston Fleet, and Marie-Philip Poulin of the Montréal Victoire have been nominated as finalists for the PWHL's 2025 Forward of the Year.

     According to the league, "The PWHL Forward of the Year award is presented to the forward who showcases the most outstanding ability at the position throughout the regular season.

    Sarah Fillier tied for the league lead in scoring recording 29 points in 30 games played. The 2024 first overall pick tied for the league lead in assists with 16, which was the most by a forward, and is the only player in PWHL history to score in five straight games.

    Knight tied Fillier for the league lead in points also recording 29 in 30 games. She scored 15 goals, including four on the power play, both totals standing as the second most in the league.

    Marie-Philip Poulin was also a finalist for this award last season. She led the PWHL this season with 19 goals and had 26 points in 30 games. 15 of her goals this season were at even strength, and she recorded a league-high five multi-goal games this season.

    Toronto's Natalie Spooner was named the PWHL's 2024 Forward of the Year.

    A selection committee composed of media, league general managers and staff, PWHL staff, and PWHLPA members voted on each of the league's six major awards, as well as league All-Star and All-Rookie teams.

    The PWHL will hand out their awards June 25 in Ottawa.
