    Anna Meixner

The IIHF women's World Championships continue at various levels across the globe, including at the top division in Czechia, and Division 1A tournament in China.

Here's a look at PWHL related news from the tournament's.

    Meixner Continues To Power Austria

The Ottawa Charge are going to get a confident, red hot forward back from the Division 1A tournament in Anna Meixner. Meixner opened the tournament with a goal and an assist in Austria's 3-0 win over Denmark. She repeated the identical feat of a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over China.

Her best performance however, came in a crucial 3-2 win over Slovakia in a win that will likely send Austria to the top division next year for the first time ever. Heading to the third period trailing 2-1, Meixner scored with 8:56 remaining in the third to tie the game, and with only 33 seconds remaining to lift Austria to the win. The teams had entered undefeated, meaning Austria is the only unbeaten team remaining.

Anna Meixner was looking more dangerous in Ottawa before the break, and the team, needing crucial playoff points, would happily welcome back her hot hand.

Theresa Schafzahl (Austria) and Chloe Aurard (France) both have five points in three games at the Division 1A tournament.

    Injury Bug Exterminated So Far

Aside from some load management for Natalie Spooner, Katerina Mrazova, Ann-Renee Desbiens, and Klara Peslarova, the injury bug has avoided PWHL players so far.

Other players like Finnish star Viivi Vainikka, and Japan's Akane Shiga have been less lucky, but the worst fear for PWHL teams heading into the final three games of the season has been avoided thus far.

    Montreal's Top Line Cooking

Montreal's top line of Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, and Jennifer Gardiner have accounted for eight of Canada's 17 goals in preliminary play. They keep finding chemistry wherever they go, and they'll be a force to be reckoned with heading home. Montreal could use the positive boost as they stumbled into Worlds.

    Slumping Players Finding Life

There's a group of players including Kelly Pannek, Hayley Scamurra, Lina Ljungblom, and Noora Tulus who have all found offensive success in Czechia. Bringing that home could give them added confidence heading toward playoffs. The same could be said for several players like Noemi Neubauerova, Daniela Pejsova, and Klara Hymlarova who were playing limited minutes in the PWHL and are getting added looks and responsibility at Worlds.
