The PWHL celebrated their one millionth fan all-time last season. This year, the 2025-26 season alone is set to cross one million fans, another significant milestone for the league and professional women's hockey.

Through 105 regular season games in the 2025-26 PWHL campaign the league has drawn 976,219 fans.

It's a mark that leaves the league just 23,781 fans shy of the one million mark this season.

It took the PWHL 142 games to reach their first million fans. That involved the entirety of the inaugural 72 game 2024 season, and 70 games into season two breaking the mark in Detroit on March 16, 2025 as part of the PWHL Takeover Tour.

This season however, the league has averaged 9,297 fans per game, almost a 29% increase over the average attendance from 2024-25, including playoffs.

This month alone, the PWHL has drawn sold out crowds of 18,005 to Madison Square Garden in New York, as well as a sold out crowd of 17,850 to TD Garden in Boston.

The league has also received sizeable boosts from the entrance of Seattle and Vancouver to the PWHL. Seattle leads the league this season in average attendance drawing 12,553 fans through 10 home games, while Vancouver sits second in league attendance drawing 11,370 in 10 games.

New York, who sits last in league attendance, has witnessed the largest increase of any team seeing their average climb to 4,966, up from only 2,764 a year ago.

This week Vancouver, Boston, New York, Montreal, and Seattle all play at home. At some point in that span, the league will cross one million fans this season, another new milestone, that they'll be able to build upon in the final week ahead of playoffs.
