Yet another pair of PWHL stars are engaged. PWHL Hamilton and Canadian national team member Emily Clark and New York Sirens defender and former Canadian national team member Jaime Bourbonnais announced their engagement on social media.
PWHL stars Emily Clark and Jaime Bourbonnais announced their engagement to be married on social media this week.
"The joy of my life," Clark wrote.
"Forever and ever and ever!!!" Bourbonnais wrote in her own post.
Clark spent the first three PWHL seasons with the Ottawa Charge before signing with PWHL Hamilton during the expansion process this offseason. Bourbonnais is a member of the New York Sirens, who she's played with since the league was founded.
The duo met as members of Canada's national team, and began dating during the pandemic while living in Montreal to train with the PWHPA and Canada's national team.
Internationally, Clark and Bourbonnais have been teammates on multiple occasions, including for the first time on the IIHF stage at the 2019 World Championships winning gold. In total they've won two World Championship golds, a silver, and a bronze as teammates.
The couple are not the first PWHL pair to announce their engagement this summer after Toronto Sceptres defenders Kali Flanagan and Allie Munroe shared their news.
