The PWHL is set to host their first ever All-Star event featuring a four-team 3-on-3 tournament in Toronto.
The PWHL now has an All-Star event the league formally announced Thursday morning at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The event will take place March 7 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto featuring a 3-on-3 tournament between teams of PWHL stars representing PWHL USA, PWHL Canada, PWHL International, and PWHL Rookies.
“The PWHL was built to feature the best players in the world, and now fans will see the highest level of skill in women’s hockey showcased in a new and unique way,” said Jayna Hefford, PWHL Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations. “The 3-on-3 format creates an intense, fast-paced style of play, while the mix of teams will produce intriguing matchups and give both established stars and emerging talent the opportunity to shine. It’s only fitting that we return to Toronto — where the PWHL first dropped the puck — to bring the best of the best together for an unforgettable day for our fans and our league.”

Teams will play a round-robin tournament followed by a semi-final and final. Each team will include a 10-player roster of six forwards, three defenders, and one goalie
According to the PWHL, All-Star starters will be selected through a combination of fan, player, and media voting, while the reserve players will be selected by league hockey operations.
