The Professional Women's Hockey League announced late Tuesday morning that PWHL Toronto will host their home playoff games in the first round at Coca-Cola Coliseum.

This comes after the team played all 12 home games in the old Maple Leaf Gardens, now known as the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

The change will allow the league to expand Toronto’s capacity as they move from a 3,000 seat venue, to one at Coca-Cola Coliseum that holds approximately 8,140 people for hockey games.

Coca-Cola Coliseum is the regular home of the Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate for the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. The venue was made available after the Marlies were eliminated from the AHL playoffs Sunday in Belleville.

PWHL Toronto clinched home ice in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday with a 6-2 win over PWHL New York.

They will host the first two games of the series at 7pm on May 8th and 10th, with a possible game five if needed to be announced later.

With the final week of games set to start tonight we will find out who Toronto will play next Tuesday as the club will try to clinch the top spot in the league on Wednesday vs Minnesota.
